A classic since the early 1980's with new updated features include the Multitek exclusive infeed shuttle grapple carriage, pilot operator joystick controls, high volume hydraulic reservoir capacity with oil cooling, saw chip blower, ergonomic operator seat with safety controls, V-style log in feed trough and tandem trailer axles with single tires.

This is a heavy-duty cycle firewood processor for the production oriented firewood producer. It can efficiently and accurately process low-grade hardwood logs up to 20" (51cm) in diameter by 40’ (12 m)
in length at a rate of 3.5 to 4.5 cords per hour (128 cubic feet (3.62 m3) per cord). With such outstanding features such as an 80hp John Deere liquid cooled diesel power unit, four chain log deck, patented excusive overhead log infeed shuttle grapple, durable 3/4" pitch .112 gauge 11h saw chain and a rugged saw chip blower. The 2040XP2 will quickly split the most difficult low grade hardwood logs or tops into firewood with a powerful hydraulic splitter using a floating vertically adjustable interchangeable 4,6, or 8 way multiple splitter head. The popular operator options include a heated or air-conditioned comfort cab enclosure, 10’ (3 m) live deck extension, wood debris clean out conveyor or a 30’ (9.14 m) rear discharge conveyor with hydraulic lift.

The Pro Model 2040xp2 Firewood Processor is available with a 60" carbide tipped circular saw to decrease cut cycle and reduce maintenance costs associated with bars and chains.  This unique feature allows up to 1,000 cords of wood to be processed before carbide teeth need to be changed. 

For the firewood packaging business an optional 16 way splitter head (18" max diameter), electric bang board for close tolerance cutting is available. The Multitek Model 2040XP2 firewood processor will outperform any machine on the market. Quality engineered for the large volume pro firewood producer it sets the standard by which all other processors are measured.  The 16 way splitter assembly is a very unique patented assembly that utilizes a series of hydraulic cylinders to split firewood to the proper size while elminating wood jam-ups.  We have dozens of customers around the world that trust multiple 2040xp2 machines to meet their customers needs.
